My primary object was to prepare a volume that follows the classical pattern of a prescriber’s guide, include the treatment regime, highlighting some clinical features. But ‘Medical Therapeutics’ eventually took the shape of a concise textbook of medicine. This therefore included the treatment schedule in detail, no doubt, but also included almost a detailed description of every ailment or symptom included therein. The deliberate deviation from the customary presentation of a prescriber’s guide has been made so that, while going through the volume, no reader needs to feel embarrass of consulting an enlarged textbook for any details. I would consider my labour has been crowned with success if the volume gains appreciation from the readers.
