Dictionary of Environmental Sciences has been compiled to meet the needs of the student, teacher and worker in the field of environment, as well as in related fields. The science of environment is universal, inter-mixed with each and every field of life, influencing almost all sphere of life. The society is well aware of its environmental problem, so a need is there to define relevant terms in such a language which can be comprehended by each and everyone.

This dictionary defines all the terms adequately and it considers number of terms including the subject-areas bordering on environment.

Though the author has taken special care to cover all important and basic terms, yet she is fully aware about her limitations. The selection of the terms is a problem in such a project and it has been the aim of the author to strike a good balance.
